These terms are an agreement between you and Pourvesh Lautan. By using Rappel you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the app.
Rappel is a personal reminder app. It reminds you to contact someone through an app you already use, and opens that app for you. Rappel is not a messaging service and does not carry your messages.
Rappel never sends a message, places a call, or starts a video call on your behalf — not automatically, and not in the background. It only opens the app you chose. Every message that leaves your phone is one you sent yourself.
An account is optional; the app works fully without one. If you create one, you are responsible for the email address you use and for activity under your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, and at least 13.
Use Rappel to remind yourself to contact people you have a legitimate reason to reach. Do not use it to harass, spam, or contact anyone against their wishes, to store other people’s contact details without a proper basis, or to break the law or the terms of the apps Rappel opens. Do not attempt to disrupt the service or access other people’s accounts. We may suspend accounts that do.
Sharing a reminder sends its contents to the person you choose, including any third party’s contact details it contains. You are responsible for having a proper basis to share that information. Shared reminders can only be sent between people who have accepted a friend connection.
Rappel schedules notifications through your device’s operating system. Battery optimisation, Do Not Disturb, force-quitting the app, restricted background permissions, and OS-level limits can all delay or suppress a notification. Rappel cannot guarantee any reminder will fire at an exact time. Do not rely on it for medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, or emergency purposes.
Your reminders are yours. We claim no ownership. We store and transmit them only to operate the features you use, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for keeping your own copy of anything you would not want to lose — Settings offers an export.
Rappel is offered as-is and may change, break, or become unavailable. Features that depend on a network — sync, sharing, push notifications — depend on third-party services we do not control. Reminders you have already scheduled continue to work offline.
Rappel is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pourvesh Lautan is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from a missed, delayed, or undelivered reminder. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and you may have consumer rights that these terms do not affect.
You can stop using Rappel at any time and delete your account from Settings → Account, which permanently removes your cloud data. We may end or restrict access if these terms are breached.
If these terms change materially, the date above will change and you will be told in the app. Continuing to use Rappel after that means you accept the revised terms.
